The Warm Springs Tribal Council has ordered the tribal organization to stay at 50 percent opening, extending this another week “…contingent upon Covid-19 cases in community”. Three fires impact health and safety of the Warm Springs Reservation: North Butte or P-515 (80% contained); Lionshead (20% contained) and White River (5% containment). The White River fire is off of the Warm Springs reservation and is being monitored by reservation fire crews. Evacuations were called for the area north of the reservation. Wind direction and velocity along with dry fuels make for very dangerous and quickly changing situation. Please avoid any travel into or near any of the fire areas.

The Warm Springs COVID-19 Response team remind our community to avoid gatherings, always wear masks if around other than your household, be extra careful around elders, large households need to monitor COVID-19 safety practices and plan travels outside homes to lessen chance of an infection from COVID-19. If quarantined or isolated for COVID-19 please follow instructions of Community Health.
