Covid-19 Community Update: 22 April

Warm Springs, OR April 22, 2020

“As of 4:30 pm, April 22, 2020 Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center, has sent in or tested 58 test samples, with 48 negative, 8 pending and 2 positive.”  Hyllis Dauphinais, Sr., Chief Executive Officer, Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center.  The Tribal Council of The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs of Oregon is very concerned about the two Corona Virus-19 positive results.  Protection of our community, children, elders and those with other health issues-our tribal community health and lives are at stake.  “The Tribal Community Health Staff are working on contact tracing (persons who had contact with the two persons who tested positive) for those who tested positive for COVID-19 following the Oregon Health Authority guidelines.  All individuals are fully cooperating with instructions given to them, as reported  by a Katie Russel, Community Health Service Manager, CTWS.  Tribal,Council is working closely with the COVID-19 Health Team, consisting of Hyllis Dauphinais, Sr., Katie Russell, Caroline Cruz, Danny Martinez, Karmen Smith, Michael Collins and Louie Pitt, Jr.
