“As of 9:12 am, 10/2/2020 – Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center has sent in or tested 3494 Total Tests, 3152 Total Negative, 10 tests Pending, 310 Total Positive Cases (50 Positive test from other facilities, 360 Total), 22 Total Invalid, 40 Hospitalized, 40 Discharged and 9 Deaths. There are currently 18 persons with active COVID-19 receiving daily monitoring by Tribal and IHS staff and 19 close contacts receiving daily monitoring, Thursday – 1/1 a total of 45 tested, 2 new positive and 8 total for the Week; 0 Current Hospitalization, 0 on ventilator.” Dauphinais, Hyllis, CEO, Warm Springs and Wellness Center, CoVID-19 Update

The Lionshead fire is still burning with 35% containment and our air quality is Hazardous – AQI = 173-187AQI . Please use KN95 masks if you are in the smoke. Stay inside, close windows and avoid any strenuous activity outdoors. Weather report has warmer temperatures which makes for possible fire growth in the larger fires in Oregon, including Lionshead.

The Warm Springs Covid-19 Response team is concerned about any gatherings—we’ve recommended a limit of 10 people, limit amount of time, wear masks, social distance and wash hands frequently.
