Tribal committees assist the Tribal Council in meeting their responsibilities to the Tribal membership and serve in an advisory capacity identifying tribal needs and recommending courses of action to resolve the needs. There are currently seven tribal committees.
These committees have policies and procedures outlined in the Tribal Council Legislative Committees Policy and Procedures Manual Handbook which describes their internal procedures. Tribal committee appointments run concurrently with the term of office of the seated Tribal Council.
The Tribal Council created boards of directors to run most tribal enterprises and some service agencies of the Tribal government. These boards establish management related policies and make decisions on major enterprise issues. There are currently six tribal boards that guide the work of tribal enterprises.
Commissions are delegated authority by the Tribal Council to exercise governmental power in a particular subject area. Each commission has individual statutes that define their subject area and scope of authority. There are currently four tribal commissions including the Joint Health Commission, Warm Springs Cannabis Regulatory Commission, Warm Springs Gaming Commission and the Tribal Employment Rights Office Commission.
